January 2018 Newsletter

It is hard to believe that we are jumping into 2018.  We hope all our CCLC families had an amazing holiday season and can’t wait to see what the new year holds.  Please remember we will be going outside weather permitting each day for our little ones to enjoy outdoor play and learning opportunities.  We are loving our new soft play flooring on the playground.  Inside of the Learning Center each classroom has welcomed a new fish to their classroom family.  Pre-School has been hard at work on their Brigance Screenings.  These have been completed for Fall and Spring screenings will begin before we know it.  Ms. Robin enjoyed meeting with each one of our preschool families.  The Infants, Toddler and Twos will begin their screenings this Winter.  Field Trips were a hit with the Pre-Schoolers, they loved riding on the big bus.  We have welcomed Gina Hicks to the CCLC team.  The girls have all been working hard achieving their ECE and Infant Toddler Credentials and I could not be prouder of them.  We are within our window for our ExceleRate Silver Verification Visit.  Trained Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale assessors will make unannounced visits during our window.  We are very excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to move on the Gold Level.  Capital City Learning Center strives to offer children the best opportunity to learn and grow.
